Do you think I would be able to teach myself guitar?
Like my question said do you think i would be able to teach myself how to play a guitar. and also if i would buy a guitar it would prob be http://shop.sanrio.com/hello-kitty-guitar/60637-200505,default,pd.html. if you think i can teach myself do you have any suggestions for a guitar i can start on? i want a guitar like the one on the link, but it doesnt matter.

Simple answer: Yes. If you have the patience, you can be playing everything you want in a year. Like many things, starting out is the hardest part - you're going to sound like crap. Dont buy a guitar that is very expensive to start... because you WILL scratch it up; buy a more expensive one when you have learned how to take good care of them.
I am 100% self-taught, I started with a Cort electric. I have a vintage fender acoustic now, but I've been playing for 9 years. There are 100's of sites that show you all the chords and scales, just type in 'Online Guitar lessons' in google, then take your pick.
