Okay How do I get my new kitty to like my other cats?
She's very sweet with my mom and I but she's vicious with my other kitties. The good thing though that my mother wants the new kitty inside I already bought her more stuff. But I do want to take her outside at least some days but she right away starts to get vicious.
We used to have one cat and have moved up to four - so trust me, I've been through this a few times. I actually had the opposite problem as you're having - the new cat was ready, willing, and able to love the other cat(s), but it was the other cats that were causing the problems.
We put the new cat in the bathroom and got it a babygate so that the old cats could come up and sniff it - that way, the old cats don't feel like the new cats are intruding on their territory.
Cats are kind of pesky to introduce to each other - I think dogs are much more accepting of new "family members."
I would also suggest you just watching them interact - if the new cat is causing harm to the other ones, step in. If not, let them work out their differences (a few hisses and swats should be expected - our first cat lost her voice from hissing so much when the second one came along).
Just give them some time, they'll get used to each other. You should also try to get them on the same vaccination schedule because they seem to fight when one comes home smelling like the vet.
