What is the typical price range for custom made contact lenses?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
My eye doctor is recommending custom made contact lenses instead of the disposables I have been wearing. I have degenerative myopia (-13 both eyes), high astigmatism and dry eyes. I understand that it may be difficult to find an existing disposable lens for my eyes. My one concern is the price of custom made lenses. Does anyone know a range? Are they between $500-$1,000 per year? More than $1,000?

There are lenses such as the RP Toric 38 High Power, that go up to a - 20.00 sphere with up to a - 5.00 cylinder power for astigmatism which would likely be one of his choices to look at. The choices are rather limited.
They are conventional lenses ( not disposables ) that last up to about a year. The price could run about $225.00 - $300.00 for the pair.
You won't find any disposable lenses for astigmatism in powers like that.
